O is for – Oak Island

Very hard to find an ancient mystery on ‘O’ – so decided on one that is not really that ancient.

Oak Island was only discovered in 1795. It is intersting that the tunnel contained remnants of tools, some that look ancient and others that look futuristic beyond our time.

N is for – Nazca Irrigation System

I first read about Nazca lines in one of Erich von Daniken’s books. Now while doing the research for this post, I also found out that there is a thoery these lines might have been a map of underground irrigation systems.

M is for – Mayan

No, I am not talking about the Mayan civilization – today’s post is on Mamuni Mayan. Mayan lived around 12000 years ago. Mayan was one of the earliest architect and he is credited with most of the principles of Vastu shastra. Dr.V.Ganapathi Sthapathi, was a renowned architect practicing the Vastu Shastra and went on a quest to the Mayan land and found remarkable similarities between the Indian Mayan and the American Mayan. It is believed that the civilization at the time of Mayan was great seafarers and used to travel between continents, hence the similarities.

When the ancient continent of Lemuria sank, did the people actually leave and start living in Mt. Sashta?

And how did Mt.Sashta get it’s name? Sashta is the name of an Indian God.

K is for Kumari Kandam

I am going to put in a place holder for K – because I found a lot of information on this one and want to do a detailed post. Also I have reached out to the site owners for their permission to post and still waiting on their responses (I kknow, I should do it in advance, but I decide on the topic only on the day of).

Kumari Kandam is similar to Atlantis, it submerged around 20 million years ago at the tip of the Indian continent. Drilling by a reasearch vessel Joides Resolution brought up samples of wood and pollen from around the area where this continent is supposed to be.
